"Alien Invasion Averted at Sci-Fi Convention: Attendees Mistook Cosplayers for Real Extraterrestrial Threat!"
Hey, space cadets! Crash Facepalm here, reporting live from the year 2023 at the Concellation convention. I've seen some crazy things in my time as an astronaut, but nothing compares to the madness happening here! First off, the cosplay competition was out of this world. We had a group dressed as characters from the latest book by Brandon Sanderson, and they even brought their own miniature version of the magical city of Elantris. Then there was a duo dressed as Rick and Morty, complete with working portal gun. And let's not forget the person dressed as a Dalek from Doctor Who, shouting "Exterminate!" at every passerby. The panels have been equally insane. The one on time travel had a heated debate about whether or not it's ethical to go back in time and steal Shakespeare's manuscripts. And the panel on alien invasions had a surprise guest appearance from Sigourney Weaver, who showed us all how to properly fight off xenomorphs. But the real highlight of the convention has been the food. The catering team has outdone themselves with dishes like Wookiee burgers and Romulan ale. And for dessert, we had a cake shaped like the TARDIS that was bigger on the inside. And let's not forget about the after-parties. There was a dance-off between fans of Star Wars and Star Trek, which ended in a tie when everyone decided that Firefly was the best sci-fi series anyway. And the karaoke night was filled with renditions of "The Time Warp" from Rocky Horror Picture Show and the theme song from The X-Files. Overall, Concellation 2023 has been a blast. I don't think I've ever seen so many people having this much fun in one place before. If you're not here, you're missing out! #Concellation2023 #SciFiMadness #EatDrinkandBeamUpOn This Day...
