The Facepalm Report
Crash Facepalm Talks To...
Greetings, fellow space travelers! I'm your favorite astronaut reporter, Crash Facepalm, and I'm here at the Science Fiction and Fantasy convention to bring you an exclusive interview with a famous personality from the worlds of science fiction, horror, or fantasy. Let's get started!
#Question 1: What inspired you to create your most famous work?
Today, I have the honor of speaking with the one and only George R.R. Martin, creator of the epic fantasy series, Game of Thrones. So George, tell me, what inspired you to create such a vast and complex world?
George: Well Crash, I've always been fascinated by medieval history and the struggles for power and control that took place during that time. I wanted to create a world that felt just as real and complex as our own, but with a touch of magic and dragons thrown in for good measure.
Crash: Ah yes, nothing like a good dragon to spice things up! Speaking of which, have you ever considered writing a crossover between Game of Thrones and Jurassic Park? I'd love to see some direwolves take on a T-Rex!
George: (laughs) Well, you never know what might happen in the future, Crash.
#Question 2: Who is your favorite character from your work?
Now for my second question, I have the pleasure of interviewing the horror master himself, Stephen King. Stephen, out of all the horrifying characters you've created, who is your personal favorite?
Stephen: Oh, that's a tough one, Crash. But if I had to choose, I'd say Pennywise the Clown from my novel, It. He's just so delightfully evil and twisted.
Crash: I have to agree, Pennywise is definitely nightmare fuel. But what about the idea of a crossover between Pennywise and Ronald McDonald? Think of the marketing opportunities!
Stephen: (laughs) I'll leave that one up to you, Crash.
#Question 3: What advice would you give to aspiring writers?
And finally, for my last question, I'm speaking with the sci-fi legend, Isaac Asimov. Isaac, as someone who has written over 500 books, what advice would you
